Week 4: Reflection on Teaching and Learning Strategies - 22 Dec 2021

 Assalammualaikum and hello gaiz,

Teaching strategies are methods and techniques that a teacher will use to help their pupils or students learn; a teacher will choose the teaching strategy that is most appropriate for the topic being studied, the learner's level of expertise, and the stage in their learning journey.

In a single lesson, a teacher may use a variety of teaching strategies with varying end goals. The most effective teaching strategies are those that have been thoroughly tested. A teaching strategy does not have to be innovative, though some are.

There are a total of ten different types of learning strategies. The first four fall into the teacher-centered category. Consider Presentation Learning Strategies first. Second, demonstrate your learning strategy. The third step is to drill and practise your learning strategy. Consider the Tutorial Learning Strategy, which is the fourth step. This category is centred on students.

Consider the Discussion Learning Strategy, which is the fifth step. Cooperative Learning is the sixth strategy. The seventh strategy is the Games Learning Strategy. Discovery Learning is the eighth strategy. The ninth learning strategy is Simulations Learning Strategy, and the final learning strategy is Problem-Based Learning Strategy.
